In the Wizard of Oz, the wizard is exposed as a fraud once he is discovered behind the curtain and any illusions of power and grandeur are shattered.
The same is true of the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses, once you have seen behind the curtain it is very clear to the onlooker that the power they wield is all in their own minds and not from any divine authority.
There are many stories that can be told to prove this, however the following video is a very good example of this. If you are not aware of who Ray Franz is, he was a member of the Governing Body. When he discovered that many of the fundamental doctrines they held to were not based on Biblical truths, and the way the Watchtower handled various matters he stepped down. However the rest of the Governing Body realised he proved to be a threat should the truth ever be known and so they had to find a way to stop their members from associating with him.
